The Face Behind The Business

Hi, I’m Eimear, the face behind It’s Eimear’s Designs and It’s Eimear’s Weddings

People often ask how I ended up here, so I thought it was about time I shared a little of my story.

I’ve been involved in graphic design for over 21 years. Creativity has always been part of who I am. I studied Fine & Applied Arts at the University of Ulster Belfast, and although I graduated with the “wildest” of dreams about working in a creative career, life took me in a different direction.

For over 12 years, I worked in HR and management. I met some incredible people along the way and made lifelong friends that I’ll always be grateful for. I learned so much during that time, but deep down I always felt there was more to life than a mundane job. I never stopped designing. I used to sit in that office for 12 odd years and DAYDREAM and pretend I was happy in my job. Every evening and weekend was spent creating and thinking and manifesting, and I eventually realised I wanted more than just a career. I wanted to wake up every day doing something I genuinely loved.

Taking the leap into self-employment was one of the best, but definitely one of the scariest, decisions I’ve ever made. Walking away from the security of a career I’d spent years building was terrifying, but I knew I wanted more. I wanted the freedom to create, to push myself, and to build something I could be proud of. Looking back now, it was the decision that changed my life.

Today, I get to spend my days designing everything from business branding, signage and laser engraving to garment printing, keepsakes and personalised pieces that celebrate life’s biggest milestones. I love working with different materials, whether it’s acrylic, wood, fabrics or paper, and there’s something incredibly rewarding about taking an idea and turning it into something tangible that means so much to someone else.

As my business grew, I found myself completely falling in love with the wedding industry. There’s something incredibly special about hearing a couple’s story and bringing it to life through stationery that becomes part of their memories forever. I love the romance, the storytelling and the excitement of helping couples create those little details they’ll treasure long after the day is over.

That passion led me to create It’s Eimear’s Weddings, allowing each business to focus on what it does best. It’s Eimear’s Designs gives me the freedom to create everything from business branding and promotional products to gifts, keepsakes and personalised items, while It’s Eimear’s Weddings is dedicated entirely to luxury wedding stationery and on-the-day details, giving every couple the attention and creativity they deserve.

Looking back, I’m so grateful I took that chance. It hasn’t always been easy, but every order, every message and every recommendation reminds me why I started.
